Thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of countless sponsors, donors, auction supporters, restaurants and volunteers, BSHC raised close to 170,000! These funds will go towards BSHC’s Client Discretionary Fund. This fund provides essential items to our consumers including clothing, bedding, furnishings and medicine when no other means of financial support exist. This initiative is crucial to keeping more of Boston’s elders in their homes and thriving in their communities as they age.
The evening’s festivities featured a silent auction with over 50 items during which over 250 guests enjoyed delicious bites from 15 of Boston’s finest restaurants while enjoying live music by Rich DiMare and Steve Memmolo. Guests were treated to special appearances by Senator Joseph Boncore, State Representative Kate Hogan and Commissioner Emily Shea, who praised the services that BSHC provides as essential to the Boston community. The evening wrapped up with an exciting live auction led by Jenny Johnson, Co-Host of NESN's "Dining Playbook” and Rich DiMare. Thanks to the generous auction supporters, and with the help of Jenny and Rich, over $26,000 was raised from the live and silent auctions.
Thanks to all for making Boston Senior Home Care’s “Well Done Boston” one to remember! Check back shortly for a full set of pictures from the event!
